We recently hosted the Made in Oldbury project at our head office in Hainge Road. The project aims to promote the manufacturing and industrial heritage of the area by talking to those who live and work in Oldbury and by profiling the firms in and around the town.
During the visit they were able to see our industry leading flame cutting and lumsden grinding facilities and learn about how we grew to be one of the UKs largest providers of flame cut steel profiles.
Managing Director Roy Taylor was interviewed and provided an history of the developments that have occurred since his ownership of Malthouse Engineering as well as some childhood memories.
Made in Oldbury is a project exploring unique archive materials in Sandwell in relation to local industrial heritage. The project was organised by artist group Laundry, working with Sandwell Community and History Archives Service (CHAS) and Oldbury and Langley Local History Societies.
